(We’re watching it right now actually–my sabbatical is not starting off as I planned). What I love about Uniqua especially is her matter of fact blackness–the way she is black with out comment and without asking permission. Yeah, I know the creator says she just a pink and purple thing, but clearly she’s black.

I always thought Uniqua was black, and yes it was because of the name. Uniqua rocks. She is always willing to go first and she’s not afraid to try new things and she uses her imagination.
I’ve always thought Rowlf the piano playing dog from the Muppets was black as well and I am on the fence about Monster.
