Hey Anika! Thanks for visiting our site! I’ve been noticing that others reviews have not been as favorable as mine, but at least Morrison takes risks and that’s more than we can say about most best-selling writers today…. Anyway, looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

I finally (!) started ‘A Mercy’ yesterday, and it has been a typically Morrisonian experience in the sense that I spent the first three or four pages panicking (Who’s talking? Where are we? Is this person alive or dead? What’s going on? When are we?) until my brain settled in.

Reading her books is like gulping wine too fast; it’s only once you start to feel all warm inside that you realize what you’ve done.

I’m glad to know that you found it worthwhile. So far, I’m already enjoying it more than ‘Love.’ Together with the thumbs-up from one of my girlfriends, your positive vote makes me even more enthusiastic about finishing it this weekend.
